Hello, fine friends!
If you caught my previous post, you’ll know that I was going to make shortbread. Well, the shortbread recipe I picked wasn’t even close to how I wanted it to taste, so I tried my hand at melting chocolate to mix in with the base dough. That didn’t go so well and I almost blew up a bowl. No, it was not metal in a microwave, but it was still bad. I took that as a sign that I was not supposed to put chocolate in my shortbread dough, so I found Nutella in the pantry and mixed that into the cookies. I was still a little rattled from the chocolate explosion, so I almost lost track of the intention I was setting. It got a little scrambled, but I regained control as I reached for the blackberry preserves in the fridge. The final intention came out as I was worrying about my lost wedding ring: Those who eat these cookies will have good luck, find what was lost, and be happy.
I then proceeded to eat a lot of (very hot) cookies and my intention worked. After getting off the phone with my grandparents, my husband texted me and told me to check the trash once more for my wedding ring just in case it fell off in there. We’d checked the same trash bag 2-3 times before, but I had a mini-impression that I should check in one particular bag. Lo and behold, there it was!
To me, that’s the power of an intention and tasty cookies.
We’ll have to see how the rest of the intention plays out, but I am proud of myself for working kitchen Magick. In case you want the recipe, here ’tis:
You will need:
3/4 cup butter
5 tablespoons sugar
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon Nutella/hazelnut spread
2 tablespoons blackberry preserves
Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Have your intention ready, you will need it as you're preparing the cookies. Mix all ingredients together and carry your intention with you in your mind or say it aloud. The dough should be purplish and slightly tangy. Roll the dough into balls and put them into the oven for 20 minutes. Take them out and let them cool before eating!! Give thanks, rinse and repeat as desired.
Thank y’all for reading!!
